Security Bollards

Access to Eckland Lodge Business Park ‘out of hours’ will be through a mobile telephone registration service. This service will allow registered users to call a number from their mobile telephone on entering the site and once the system recognises the number it will automatically disconnect the call (with no charge to the user) and lower the bollards to permit entry to the site.                                          

  • What times will the bollards be down to allow free access to the site for tenants and visitors?

    Monday to Friday 7am to 7pm (extended to 9.30pm on Wednesday evenings).
    Saturday 7am to 5.30pm.

    The bollards will rise and lower without warning at the specified times above.

  • How will I access the site ‘Out of Hours’?

  • How do I register my mobile telephone?

    A registration form to collect the required information for the automated bollard system can be obtained from Leigh Parkin, Eckland Lodge Business Park Manager email leigh@ecklandlodge.co.uk or telephone 01536 762300.

  • How much does it cost?

    In order to register to use the system a £50 refundable deposit is required for each mobile phone number entered on to the system. An initial £10 administration fee is payable for the entry of up to 5 registered users per company (when registered together). Any subsequent changes / amendments /additional numbers will charged at a rate of £5 per alteration.

    It is important to note that your mobile telephone number will not be registered unless the appropriate payment has been received.

  • Can I register more than 5 users?

    Yes. There is an initial administration fee of £10.00 for up to 5 users (when registered together). Any subsequent changes / amendments will charged at a rate of £5 per alteration.

  • What happens if I move away from Eckland Lodge Business Park?

    When a person/company permanently leaves the site the associated mobile telephone numbers will be removed from the database and a refund of the deposit paid will be made. It is important that you inform us of any changes to your mobile registration requirements.

  • What is the telephone number for the Rising Bollards?

  • Do I get charged for calling the Rising Bollards?

    No, all calls to the Rising Bollards are free of charge if your telephone number is registered on the system.

  • Can I let a client in and out of the site ‘Out of hours’?

    Yes, you can telephone the bollards to allow access to a client as long as your mobile telephone number has been registered.

  • What if I have a regular client that comes onto the site ‘Out of hours’?

    You can register your clients’ mobile telephone number through your company as long as the refundable deposit and appropriate administration fee has been paid.

  • What are the traffic lights for?

    The red/green traffic lights and signage are to warn people when it is unsafe to drive over the bollards.

  • Can more than one car go through the bollards when they are down?

    No. The entry system is designed to allow only single vehicle access therefore the bollards should be telephoned for each vehicle that passes through.

    Eckland Lodge Business Park Ltd accepts no responsibility for damage to vehicles if the bollard entry system is used inappropriately by registered users.

  • Who should I contact if the bollards fail to operate?

    In the first instance please telephone Daniel Howes on 07808 293169.

    If Daniel is unavailable please telephone Lee James on 07949 109864.

    Daniel or Lee should only be contacted about the bollards by registered users who cannot gain access because the bollards are not working. All other visitors to the business park out of hours should contact the respective company that they are dealing with.
